We manage our animal maintenance and colony development program to allow you to focus your in-house staff and facility resources on drug research and development. You can be assured that your research model will be bred according to a work plan customized to meet your objectives. Your models, of defined health status and genetically bred to quantities that you specify, will be delivered to your research facility when you need them for your drug discovery and development program.
Our biocontainment isolator is the proven system that makes us confident we can deliver on our promise. We can accept animal colonies of varying health status, eliminating the need for rederivation prior to receipt and project initiation.
Our animal maintenance and colony development services include:
- Basic maintenance for the purposes of maintaining a contingency colony
- Production breeding to provide a supply of animals on a regular basis
- Backcrossing of a transgene onto specific inbred strains
- Intercrossing transgenic lines to combine multiple constructs in a single model
- Development of homozygous colonies
